PHANTOMS MANAGE TIE 1-1

The Phantoms managed to skate to a 1-1 tie Saturday night in a game they were outplayed for most of the night. Marc Massucci kept the Phantoms in the game with 23 saves while earning Star of the Game honors. In his best game of the young season, Massucci made a few key stops late in the game while the Phantoms tried to hack away and tie the game.

Pete Morrow got the goal they needed with a bad-angled shot following a faceoff in the Wild zone with only 48 seconds remaining in regulation. Eric Partington was able to win the draw back to O'Connell who shot the puck behind the net (for an uncredited assist). Morrow was there for the rebound, boucing a shot of the Wild goaltenders shoulder to gain the important point in the standings.
